Study Completion

​The Site Selection, Preliminary Design, and Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study is now complete and recommends a hybrid two-MPY approach as shown in the map below, which involves:

• Redeveloping the existing Kanata MPY within its existing property limits; and

• Constructing a Limited Use Supporting MPY at MTO-owned lands referred to as Palladium West.

​​The study was completed in accordance with the Class EA for Provincial Transportation Facilities (2000) as a Group ‘B’ project.

​The TESR was made available for comment from December 4, 2025 to January 15, 2026, as outlined in the Notice of Completion. The TESR can be accessed on the Reports page.

​

​Comments on the TESR have now been resolved. This project is considered to have met the requirements of the Class EA and may proceed to the Detail Design phase(s), subject to funding and approvals.
