Consultation 

​Consultation with the public, Indigenous communities, agencies, and other stakeholders is an important part of this study. Three online Public Information Centres (PICs) have been held at key milestones during the study, as outlined below.

  • Online PIC 1, in June-July 2020, presented the coarse screening that was completed to identify suitable alternative locations and the proposed criteria to be used in the subsequent evaluation of alternatives

  • Online PIC 2, in June-July 2021, presented the results of the evaluation of the short-listed locations and the initial Technically Preferred Alternative (TPA)

  • Online PIC 3, in April-May 2025, presented a revised evaluation of alternatives and the resulting TPA.

Information collected for this study will be used in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. With the exception of personal information, all comments will become part of the public record.
